In was the third game within eight days for Olexandr Khatskevych’s men.
Comparing with the match against Vorskla Poltava, there were three substitutions in FC Dynamo Kyiv starting lineup. Centre back Mykyta Burda took the field again after suspension. In the midfield Tche Tche and Denys Harmash replaced Serhiy Sydorchuk and Volodymyr Shepelev.
Early in the game Dynamo had several worthy attacks. The majority of them were with the participation of Benjamin Verbic, who was very active in the first half.
16 minutes into the game he tried to score spectacularly after pass from Harmash, but missed the target. Then he found Tche Tche with unexpected pass, but Lviv keeper Bandura cleared Brazilian’s shot.
After the break the situation didn’t change a lot. Visitors totally controlled the game though home side also attacked courageously sometimes. Halfway through the second half both gaffers made substitutions. Andriyevskyi and Sydorchuk replaced Harmash and Tche Tche.
These substitutions were decisive. 71 minutes into the game Sydorchuk didn’t score in one-on-one situation.
In a stoppage time Olexandr Khatskevych risked it all and striker Nazariy Rusyn substituted Mykola Moroziuk. In a minute Sydorchuk obtained the ball in attacking half, Buialskyi passed to Andriyevskyi, who eluded defender and goalkeeper and found Rusyn, who hit the target and grabbed the winner for Dynamo!
On August 3 the White-Blues will host FC Shakhtar Donetsk at the NSC Olimpiyskyi. Tickets are still available.
