The White-Blues head coach Oleh Blokhin surprised supporters with the starting lineup. Brown Ideye, who didn’t approve himself in the pervious match, was among first eleven again and Lukman Haruna featured in the midfield.
Jeremain Lens and Andriy Yarmolenko played as wingers, Ognjen Vukojevic and Miguel Veloso – as supporting midfielders.
Kyivans started the game aggressively as Lukman Haruna unleashed a long-range shot which was blocked. In the first half Oleh Blokhin’s men were more active than home side. Still the White-Blues didn’t create a lot of scoring chances and Valencia defenders played very orderly.
Miguel started many Dynamo attacks and took several set pieces. Danilo Silva and Yevhen Makarenko helped attacking players.
After the break Valencia seized the initiative. Alcacer rand Vargas had chances to open the score.
71 minutes into the game Miguel Veloso hit the bar from distance. After that Dynamo took a corner and Khacheridi tried to head the ball in, but missed the target.
