Valencia CF came from behind to secure a 3-2 win at Sevilla FC in the first leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final.
David Villa opened the scoring for the hosts in the fifth minute after pouncing on Adriano Correira's mis-placed back-pass but Sevilla hit back after the break with goals from Luis Fabiano and Correira putting the visiting side in command. Valencia, though, didn't give up. Trailing 1-2 with six minutes left, Valencia levelled through Rubén Baraja and Juan Mata then struck the winner off a deflection to earn victory at the Mestalla.
The return leg will take place at the Sevilla FC's Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium on Wednesday, 28 January.
