Valeriy Gazzaev: "It's going to be an interesting but difficult game"

Dynamo – Inter. Pre-match press conference

Ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League encounter with FC Internazionale Milano, Dynamo Kyiv coach Valeriy GAZZAEV attended a press conference and answered journalists’ numerous questions.

- What’s your opinion on the rumors that the match will be played in an empty stadium?

- Football is not a football when the stands are empty. Everything we do is for our fans and their support is very important for the club. I would even say that it gives us the main emotional tone for a game. These emotions impel players to show their best qualities on the pitch.

- Is there any injury news?

- There are no injured players in the team. All the players are fit and ready and I’m really happy about that.

- Could you please say something concrete about Yussuf, Shovkovskyy and Diakhate…

- Ayila Yussuf trains with the rest of the squad, and Oleksandr Shovkovskyy is not fit yet. As for Diakhaté, he is out for a long period because of his knee injury.

- Is Magrão ready to play in tomorrow’s match?

- Everyone is ready, including Magrão.

- Dynamo have three players within one caution of a one-match suspension. Are you going to talk about the unsporting behaviour with your players?

- Actually, we talk about that prior to each match. By the way, Inter have some players within a yellow card of a ban as well. This match promises to be a very emotional battle, with the thoughts about the bookings likely to take a back seat for the game. That is why it is too difficult to predict who will get a yellow card tomorrow.

- Have you already chosen the starting line-up for tomorrow’s match?

- Yes, I did.

- Don’t you think that Inter didn’t play to their full potential in their last Serie A match?

- That's true. Several of the first-choice players didn’t take part in that match, but I’m sure that Inter will field their strongest line-up tomorrow. It‘s going to be an interesting but difficult game. It goes without saying that our group is the toughest in the tournament but our aim remains unchanged: a place in the knockout stage. Inter have much more experience than our young team does, however we proved our ability in the previous Group F matches.
