We had some squad problems and came to Munich to oppose Bayern in the first leg having only two substitutes – Volodymyr Muntian and Valeriy Samokhin. How did we score? Blokhin created a miracle. He eluded four defenders.
As for return match, people came to Kyiv from all over Ukraine. We performed more actively at home arena than away. Blokhin took the free kick and hit the target.
It’s been 40 years since then, but people still remember that triumph!
