FC Dynamo Kyiv hosted FC Chornomorets Odesa in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 14 game.
The White-Blues had chances to open the score early in the match and even more than one. At first Rudko parried the shot by Brazhko and then Volodymyr hit the post. Then visitors defender passed back inaccurately, keeper left the box to clear the ball, Karavayev obtained it, but sent over the bar.
Yet eventually Dynamo succeeded in the 16th minute. Kyivans dispossessed Odesa side, Buialskyi found Vanat and the forward hit the corner – 1:0.
Buialskyi had a chance to increase the lead in the 35th minute as he appeared in front of the six-yard box, but sent the ball past the far corner. Brazhko continued attempting from distance, but missed the upper V.
Late in the first half visitors almost equalized. Rudko grabbed the ball after cross, found Petriak in the midfield and the latter tried to send the ball over Bushchan one-touch, but missed.
Briefly in the second half Karavayev could increase the lead as he got a pass from Vivcharenko, but failed to shoot properly.
Then Karavayev was unlucky as he attempted with a header after cross by Shaparenko. At first it seemed the ball crossed the line, but the replay proved it didn’t. In the 55th minute referee awarded penalty for Dynamo as Udod allegedly handled the ball inside the box, but upon checking VAR this decision was cancelled.
In the 70th minute Dynamo skipper Buialskyi finally succeeded. Vitalii obtained the ball in front of the penalty area and hit the upper corner – 2:0.
87 minutes into the game the home side made it 3:0. Buialskyi intercepted inside the box, passed to Rubchynskyi, who netted the ball from close range.
Chornomorets pulled one back in a stoppage time as Skyba headed the ball in after free kick cross – 3:1.
So, Dynamo succeed and lead in the table solely.
