UPL. Dynamo – Dnipro-1 – 0:1. Report

FC Dynamo Kyiv hosted SC Dnipro-1 in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 11 game.

The White-Blues took the field wearing special shirts to support their leader Andriy Yarmolenko, who’s going to be out for a while due to surgery.

Anyway, visitors did better early in the game. In the 13th minute Filipov found Hutsuliak, who sent the ball directly into the far corner and opened the score.

Popov had a chance to equalize right away, but missed with a header after corner. Although Kyivans were behind they didn’t really rush forward and let Dnipro-1 maintain possession in the defensive half. Halfway through the first half Syrota scored, but referee disallowed this goal as Brazhko was offside.

Right before the break Sarapiy unleashed spectacular volley after cross, but Bushchan was there.

The White-Blues were very motivated after the break, but quite unlucky. Buialskyi had a great opportunity, but missed from inside the box. Visitors responded with sharp counterattacks. Pikhalionok attempted from distance – Bushchan saved. Filipov missed from a tight angle.

Dynamo made a number of substitutions to enforce the attacking line, but Dnipro-1 defenders were doing a good job. Volynets cleared the shots by Brazhko and Shaparenko from distance.

So, it’s 0:1 – Dynamo second UPL defeat in a row. The White-Blues will play their next game on October 28 – against FC Kolos Kovalivka away.
