FC Dynamo Kyiv hosted FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 29 game.
Neither side had any tournament motivation as Dynamo already secured the second place in the league table while Kryvbas would finish third. Thus it was quite open game with lots of attacks and shots from both sides.
Dynamo started really well. Yarmolenko won a penalty in the second minute and Vanat converted from the spot.
Two minutes later Shaparenko did a fantastic solo as he eluded several opponents and sent the ball into the corner – 2:0. Crushing start for Kryvbas, but one should say they recovered quite quickly and attacked dangerously.
One of those attacks ended with a cross to the far post, where Tverdokhlib headed the ball in.
Afterwards fans witnessed very open game with defensive mistakes from both sides. Tymchyk didn’t manage to score in one-on-one situation while Dubinchak missed from close range.
After the break match speed decreased, but still both teams had scoring opportunities.
Visitors were more active in build-up while Dynamo responded with sharp counterattacks. Kryvbas had a chance in the 58th minute, but Bushchan parried the shot by Prince brilliantly. Voloshyn could score after goalkeeper’s mistakes, but missed.
Buialskyi hit the post in the 79th minute after another Kryvbas defenders’ mistake. Still in a couple of minutes Dynamo succeeded again. Voloshyn headed the ball to Dubinchak, who hit the open goal. That was his first official goal for the club.
Dynamo could increase the lead, but didn’t use some promising attacks and scoring chances.
So, it’s 3:1 for the White-Blues.
