UPL. Dnipro-1 – Dynamo – 1:2. Report

FC Dynamo Kyiv faced SC Dnipro-1 away in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 26 game.

Dnipro side succeeded against the White-Blues in the first round match in Kyiv (1:0), so Dynamo were extremely willing to gain revenge and to stay in the title race.

Both teams started quite actively, but in the 15th minute the air raid went off and the game was ceased for about 40 minutes.

Neither side created a lot of scoring chances as the match continued and it seemed the first half would end in a goalless draw, but Dnipro-1 managed to punish visitors for a defensive mistake. After long ball in the 43rd minute Popov and Mykhavko rushed towards the ball, but Hutsuliak won it, approached Bushchan and sent it over the keeper – 1:0.

Fortunately Dynamo equalized quite quickly after the break. Vanat tried to shoot from inside the box, but they didn’t let him too. Eventually Kabayev obtained the ball and hit the target – 1:1.

Dynamo continued dominating and approaching Dnipro-1 penalty area. Home side relied on counterattacks and after one of those Pasich unleashed a decent shot from distance, but Bushchan parried.

In the 88th minute Kyivans got outnumbered as Tymchyk was sent off for a rough tackle against Ocheretko.

However, Dynamo managed to grab the winner. Brazhko found Supriaha, Vladyslav put a low cross to Vanat and the striker netted the ball – 2:1.

Dnipro-1 totally could equalize in a stoppage time. Bushchan reached the ball that was landing into the goal after rebound and then coped with the strike by Sarapii.

So, it’s 2:1. Dynamo preserve the second place in the league table and hopes for the title.
