UPL. Polissia – Dynamo – 3:2. Report

FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Polissia Zhytomyr away in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 10 game.

Before this match Polissia were ahead of the White-Blues in the league table though they played three games more.

Kyivans opened the score early in the game. In the 4th minute Andriyevskyi found Voloshyn in the penalty area, Nazar performed a heel pass to Buialskyi and Dynamo skipper netted the ball – 0:1.

Still Zhytomyr side equalized quite soon. Krushynskyi unleashed a powerful strike from distance, Bushchan reached the ball, but didn’t parry it – 1:1.

Dynamo maintained possession, but Polissia attacked as well. Kushnirenko attempted with a header – over the bar. Then Makouana rushed down the left hand side and shot from a tight angle – Bushchan was there. Vanat and Brazhko attempted from distance inaccurately.

Right before the break Polissia had a great chance to step in front. Makouana left Tymchyk behind and appeared one-on-one with Bushchan, but Dynamo keeper saved.

Early in the game Dynamo rushed forward and took the lead again. Morozko fouled against Vanat inside the box and referee awarded penalty. Buialskyi made it 1:2 from the spot.

In a while things got even more complicated for the home side. Morozko got his second booking and was sent off. But even despite that Polissia didn’t give up. Budkivskyi obtained the ball inside the penalty area after corner and equalized due to rebound – 2:2.

In the 70th minute home side took the lead. Syrota dispossessed Budkivskyi inside the box, but Kozak was the first to reach the ball and hit the corner – 3:2.

Dynamo were looking for their chances. Andriyevskyi hit the post from distance. Benito missed from outside the penalty area. The White-Blues were attacking with the whole squad, but didn’t manage to come back. Besides, Karavayev was sent off in a stoppage time for a rough challenge.

So, it’s 2:3 – Dynamo second UPL defeat of the season. Kyivans will play their next game on October 22 – against Dnipro-1 at the home ground.
