Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Vitalii Buialskii, who scored two goals in the Ukrainian Cup final against Chernihiv (3:1), commented on the victory and winning the trophy.
– How do you feel about the game and the victory?
– Everything is good. We are happy to have won. In the first half we didn’t convert many chances, the score was 1:1, and that caused some nervousness.
– Did Chernihiv put up a fight?
– We prepared seriously. I think the opponent gave a very good fight. We need to analyze the game because we created a lot of chances but didn’t score as many as we could. We have to understand why that happened.
– People are joking about their goalkeeper, saying Dynamo should sign him.
– I’m not a scout or an agent. But speaking about him - he played well, did a good job with his right foot. I think he still has a future ahead because goalkeeper is a position where you can play even until forty.
– What was the locker room like? How did you celebrate? Did coaches say anything? Did the president visit?
– The president came in and congratulated us. We listened to some music, celebrated a little - and that’s it.
– Do you think it was fair that your first goal was disallowed?
– I never review my own moments. I think that should be the job of the coaching staff and analysts. They should review both good and unsuccessful plays.
– It started raining at the end of the match. How did the weather affect the game?
– It actually became better. The pitch at Lviv Arena is in perfect condition. I haven’t played on such a field for a long time - it’s pure pleasure.
– What do you think of the new Ukrainian Cup design compared to the previous one? Is it heavier or lighter?
– Of course, it’s heavier. I think it weighs more than 20 kilograms. If you lift it alone you could hurt your back (laughs).
– The last match against Kudrivka is coming up. What do you expect?
– Starting tomorrow we’ll begin preparing for Kudrivka. We’ll see how it goes.
– Any plans for vacation yet?
– No, no plans yet. I will stay in Ukraine.
