As you know, at this stage, our team will face the Dutch side AZ Alkmaar:
- I think we’ve got one of the toughest opponents. So far I can’t say anything about them in detail as I haven’t seen their matches yet. They say AZ are good team, so the game will be interesting.
- AZ barely outplayed FC Viktoria Plzen at the previous stage…
- All Champions League qualification participants are orderly teams. Everyone can both win and lose. We must be focused and demonstrate our football.
- This year the third qualifying round consists of only one game, so anything can happen…
- Sure, but it’s great that we’ll play at home. That makes things easier. We don’t need to fly anywhere, so we can get ready in a calm atmosphere. Still we must be careful.
- You haven’t joined the national team due to injury. How do you feel? Will you recover by the Champions League campaign start?
- My recovery runs to plan. I hope I’ll be allowed to rejoin the team soon. I’ll do everything doctors tell me to as I want to be ready to take the field in the next UPL game against FC Desna Chernihiv. So far I work individually with physical trainer.
