- Vitorino, what are your expectations of the key match of the first round?
- We are in fine fettle. The team is really willing to win this game against Shakhtar to increase the gap in league standings.
- Both Dynamo and Shakhtar have a lot of internationals. Does it mean both sides are on equal footing?
- I think these are two worthy teams. I guess the match will be close. Anyway we need victory.
- Do you already realize what face-to-face matches of these teams mean to the country? What do they mean to you?
- It’s not necessary to go to Ukraine to understand that there’s a rivalry between two best clubs of the country – Dynamo and Shakhtar. Of course living in Kyiv I realize how important these games are.
- What is Shakhtar main strength?
- I think it’s their attack. Players have good mutual understanding.
- Which game is more important to you – against Shakhtar or against Chelsea?
- I think one shouldn’t compare these matches. Both are really important. UPL and Champions League are different competitions, but we must do our best in each of them.
- You’ve spent almost a year in Ukraine already. Is it easier to get used to the country or to our football? What’s your main achievement here and what are your future plans?
- Of course I got used to football life first of all. There’s still much I should get to know about Ukraine. As for my aims, I want to win as many trophies as possible with Dynamo.
