Dynamo Kyiv forward Vladislav Blănuță scored his debut goal for the “white and blues” in the UEFA Conference League match against Bosnia’s Zrinjski, setting the final score at 6:0. After the game the striker shared his impressions:
- We’ve been waiting for this victory for a long time. We worked hard over the past few days and prepared really well for this match - and here’s the result. Right now we’re happy but in three days we already have our next match, a very important one in the league. We’ll probably start preparing for it as early as Friday.
- You scored your first goal for Dynamo Kyiv. Did you expect to do it today?
- Yes, because I prepared very seriously for this game. I didn’t know if I’d make the starting lineup but I was always ready to come off the bench at any moment and do everything possible to help the team. I’ve probably been waiting for this goal for a long time. But now it’s time to work even harder and, hopefully, score many more goals.
- You scored after a corner kick. Was that a routine you practiced in training?
- Of course. We have coaches who prepare us for every set piece, every situation. We practice scoring headers, left-footed shots, right-footed shots - from every possible position - to make sure the ball ends up in the net.”
- Was this goal special for you?
- It’s an ordinary one. Last season I scored five or six goals with my head. But I actually prefer scoring with my feet.
- Who did you dedicate this goal to?
- I dedicated it to my wife who is pregnant - we’re expecting a baby. So this goal is for her and for our future child.
