Vladyslav Dubinchak: “We want to gain revenge for that defeat in Zhytomyr”

The White-Blues’ defender Vladyslav Dubinchak has shared his expectations of the upcoming game against FC Polissia Zhytomyr and told about mistakes the team did in the match against FC Mynai.

- Did the game against Mynai turn out to be harder than you expected after the first half?

- I think we did well in the first half: scored twice and didn’t let Mynai create anything. I guess this played a trick with us after the break. Maybe we calmed down too early. Fortunately we scored the third one and grabbed three points.

- Maybe if you used more chances in the first half that Mynai goal wouldn’t have revived the intrigue?

- That’s right. Unfortunately we have this kind of issues – we don’t use our chances. But this is football, you can’t score in every episode.

- What kind of mistake resulted in that goal?

- As they crossed from the wing we moved too much towards our goal while midfielders didn’t intercept that pass back.

- Now you’re in for the game against Polissia, who beat you in the first round. What do you remember from that game?

- They’re good team. We want to gain revenge for that defeat in Zhytomyr. Back then we buried our chance ourselves as we made a number of crucial mistakes.

- Experts were quite focused on Beni Makouana back thin, but this time he won’t play due to injury. Are there any other Polissia players who impact the game a lot?

- Artem Kozak. Not because he’s my friend, I just think he’s that leader of their team. One of the most dangerous Polissia players. He scored the decider against us in the first leg.

- Serhii Rebrov followed your training session today. Does that motivate you?

- Of course it does. They follow our progress and everyone has a chance to go to the Euro. We’re all doing our best.
