Vladyslav Kucheruk: “Exercises with tennis balls are very beneficial”

- Vladyslav, what do you do during the quarantine?

- At the moment I’m at my parents’ in Khmelnytskyi region. We live in a separate house, so I can work out outside. To me it’s an opportunity to spend more time with parents.

- Do you keep in touch with Mykhailo Mykhailov?

- Sure, I do. He tells us how to stay fit and motivates us.

- How quickly do you get out of shape without special goalkeepers’ exercises?

- The lack of normal training process is really bad for keepers. First of all we lose concentration. But I think when things get back to normal we’ll fix that in a week.

- Are there any goalkeepers’ exercises you can do individually?

- Actually there’re a lot. I pick them on the internet. Exercises with tennis balls are very beneficial, for example.

- Do you have everything you need to do these exercises?

- I do, but of course that’s a far cry from normal training sessions on the field. Mostly I stick to the training program coaches send us so that we were fit.

- Do you know when the quarantine ends?

- No one knows anything so far, even coaches. I guess it’s up to the government to decide. Of course we miss our work a lot.

- Do you think 2019/2020 UPL should be played to the end if quarantine runs over?

- I definitely think it should, but of course it’s not my decision.
