Dynamo midfielder Volodymyr Brazhko spoke about his vacation and his expectations for the training camp in Austria.
— You are only on your third day of vacation. How are you spending your time off?
— I’m only on my third day of vacation. After returning from the national team camp, I’m still resting. My family has come to visit, so I’m spending time with my loved ones, my girlfriend, and my parents. So far, that’s how my vacation is going.
— Do you still have some time left to rest?
— Yes, in about a week I will join the team at the training camp in Austria.
— Share your impressions of the medical examination at Oxford Medical. Are there any special features here?
— For me, there is no big difference. I take tests and go through the same procedures as always. It has already become a kind of habit — checking my health every six months.
— Are there any offices or procedures you do not particularly like?
— No, nothing like that. I’m not afraid of injections or anything else.
— What are your expectations for the training camp in Austria? Do you already know anything about the friendly matches?
— I don’t know anything yet. You could say I’m still on vacation. When I join the team, I’ll fully switch into work mode and immerse myself in the training process.
— This year Dynamo’s European campaign starts very early. What do you expect from the Europa League qualification, where the team needs to get through four rounds to reach the league phase?
— It’s a very difficult path, but we put ourselves in this situation. Now we need to fix it through our own efforts. We will work hard during the training camp to deliver results in the official matches.
— Are you looking forward to the draw?
— Of course I am. But, honestly, it doesn’t make much difference who we play against. We are not afraid of anyone, and we want to show ourselves well in European competitions.
— What can you say about the new Premier League season, the teams that were relegated to the First League, and those that earned promotion to the top division?
— In football, everything is natural: some teams are relegated, while others move up from the First League. There are promotion/relegation play-offs, where the stronger side either stays in or earns the right to compete in the top division. Therefore, all of these teams deserve their place in the UPL.
— Should we expect any surprises from anyone?
— It’s hard to say. We’ll see how the season unfolds.
