The scorer of Dynamo’s third goal in the friendly match against Veres Volodymyr Brazhko commented on the White-Blues’ 3:2 victory.
- Volodymyr, congratulations on the win! How are you feeling after the game?
— Thank you. I’m feeling good - we won. That’s what we work for: to win every match, both in the Ukrainian championship and in European competitions. We’re building momentum not only through training but also through games. That way the preparation process goes better and I think more tactical work is done. I played 60 minutes today and we gave a good effort, left everything on the pitch. Now it’s back to training and preparing for the next friendlies.
- This wasn’t the first friendly played in a format of four 30-minute halves. Are you already used to this type of match?
- Sometimes during training camps you also have to play 90 minutes so I think we’ll get there as well. We do whatever the coaching staff tells us. There’s no difference whether it’s 60 minutes, 45 minutes or 90 minutes.
- Dynamo played another UPL team Veres but outside Ukraine. Did it feel like a Ukrainian league atmosphere?
- You could see from the scoreline that there was tension, goals, extra emotions and a lot of yellow cards. But that’s football. A UPL-level atmosphere can also be felt during training camps. These kinds of matches are needed too - to fire yourself up a bit, to feel the competitive edge. That’s normal. After the game, we shook hands each other - everything is fine.
- You took a knock in one of the episodes. How are you feeling now?
- I feel fine. It was just a collision on the foot. I’ll do some recovery procedures now and everything will be okay.
- You scored today from quite a long distance and almost broke the crossbar. What did you feel in that moment?
- A few days ago I scored a similar goal in training but that time Shaparenko rolled the ball to me. When Buialskii placed the ball today I immediately noticed that opponents had dropped back to the edge of the penalty area. Buialskii saw it too and played the ball to me. I controlled it and thought, why not? If you have a chance to shoot you have to shoot. I struck it well and scored. I’ve been working on this in training and after training sessions. You need to shoot more during games.
