After failing to secure the FIFA World Cup play-off spot, Croatian national team played a friendly with Liechtenstein last Saturday and earned a convincing 5-0 victory. But the night wasn't so good for Dynamo midfielder Ognjen Vukojević, who played 65 minutes for his country as he was injured by the opponent. Nonetheless, the 25-year-old is hopeful of recovering in time to face Shakhtar Donetsk at the Lobanovskyy Dynamo stadium on 21 November.
- I can say that we totally outplayed our opponents, – says Ognjen. - But it wasn’t an easy game as there were lots of fouls. As a result, I’ve got a heel injury. Fortunately, medical examination revealed that there was no fracture but I’m still not allowed to train with the rest of the squad. Hopefully, I'll be able to be involved against Shakhtar. As for the confrontation with Oleksandr Kucher, I’ve already forgotten about that. The most important to me is our victory.
