Having failed to turn dominance into goals, Dynamo Kyiv suffered their first defeat of the Ukrainian Premier League campaign, losing 1-0 to the second-bottom side FC Zakarpattya Uzhhorod on Wednesday. Serbian midfielder Aleksandar Trišović scored the only goal of the game, collecting the ball on the corner of the box and sending it low to seal victory in the 53rd minute.
A disappointing defeat at Avanhard stadium ended Dynamo’s 26-match unbeaten run in the championship. Very sad to admit, but for the first time this season Dynamo slipped to the second place in the table behind new leaders FC Shakhtar Donetsk. However, only two points separate the top two sides.
