Numerous media have shared the claim of the direction of one of the clubs participating in the match. This claim contains presumptuous accusations of supporters of our team, who, allegedly, did racially charged and xenophobic acts.
FC Dynamo Kyiv have proved that we’re dedicated to fair play and panhuman principles with our actions. The problem of intolerance is urgent not only for certain football clubs. Unfortunately it exists among active fans of the majority of teams. The role of Ukrainian Football Association in the battle against hooligans should be also mentioned as the only thing this organization cares about is financial penalties. Not a single event, meeting or dialogue with representatives of fans has been arranged within recent years.
We share the concern of our Donetsk colleagues, but we consider claims as for the predefined guilt of certain fans to be premature because the investigation hasn’t even started yet.
Defining the role of certain participants of the incident is the domain of preliminary investigation bodies. We’re looking forward to the start of investigation and we’re ready to help isolate offenders from football and society. We’re waiting for publication of photo and video materials that will shed the light on the incident.
