Dynamo Brazilian right back Danilo Silva felt backache before the game, so coaching staff decided not to risk his health.
In the first half Kyivans’ formation looked as follows: goalkeeper – Maxym Koval, centre backs – Yevhen Khacheridi and Aleksandar Dragovic, laterals – Domagoj Vida (right) and Benoit Tremoulinas (left). Miguel and Denys Harmash played as supporting midfielder while Oleh Husiev and Jeremain Lens – as wingers. Roman Bezus was the second forward and Brown Ideye – finisher.
The game was rather rough. Lens, Koval, Tremoulinas and Khacheridi could have suffered injuries.
The White-Blues mostly used counterattacks and fast Lens was the key performer.
After the break Dynamo squad was changed. Lukman Haruna and Younes Belhanda added creativeness to Kyivans’ actions in the midfield while Serhiy Sydorchuk didn’t let Steaua start their attacks.
Unfortunately our team had few scoring chances.
