Three FC Dynamo Kyiv performers were among the Yellow-Blues first eleven – Oleh Husiev, Denys Harmash and Andriy Yarmolenko.
Husiev and Harmash were substituted after the first half while Yarmolenko played till the final whistle.
64 minutes into the game Artem Kravets, who features for VfB Stuttgart on loan, made a substitute appearance.
The only goal of the match was scored by Taras Stepanenko five minutes before the break.
This was the first match for legendary Kyivan Andriy Shevchenko as assistant coach and 100th win for our national team!
On March 28 Ukraine will play another friendly – against Wales at the NSC Olimpiyskyi in Kyiv.
