On August 19 2007 these two sides played the most spectacular face-to-face match in their history.
12,500 spectators at Dynamo Stadium were a bit shocked by early opener visitors’ striker Batista scored.
16 minutes into the game Maxim Shatskikh netted equalizer. Four minutes later Lviv side defender Pshenychnykh scored own goal. 30 minutes into the match Ismael Bangoura made the score 3:1, but shortly before the break Koval pulled one back. Still a minute later Marjan Markovic scored another one for Dynamo – 4:2.
Early in the second half Olexandr Ishchenko’s men made the score 4:3 due to Kobin’s goal.
After that only Kyivans scored – Bangoura (62, 81) and Carlos Correa (90) – 7:3.
Today each team still has one player that took part in that match – our goalkeeper Olexandr Shovkovskyi and Karpaty midfielder Ihor Khudobyak.
