The Ukrainian Premier League traditionally continues to honour the heroes of the 2026/2027 season and has selected the symbolic team of Round 6 of the championship, as well as named the best player and the best coach of the round. Hosts, experts and commentators of UPL TV, as well as representatives of leading Ukrainian sports media, took part in determining the award winners.
The winger of Dynamo Kyiv, Andrii Yarmolenko, was named the best player of Round 6 of the Ukrainian Premier League. He scored the opening goal in the match against Epitsentr (3:0). In addition, Yarmolenko equalled another outstanding Dynamo player, Maksym Shatskikh, in the ranking of the best scorers in the history of the Ukrainian championship – 124 goals.
It should be noted that, alongside Yarmolenko, two more Dynamo representatives were included in the symbolic team of the round – midfielder Justin Lonwijk and forward Matviy Ponomarenko.
Lonwijk showed confidence and effectiveness, scoring a goal against Epitsentr in the 49th minute of the match, while Ponomarenko continued his pursuit of the title of the championship’s top scorer, scoring a spectacular goal with a direct free kick in the 85th minute.
