Andrii Yarmolenko has commented upon his return to the field for UPL TV.
- Welcome back, Andriy! How are you feeling?
- Of course I’m glad to be back. It had been six months of hard work. It’s very emotional to come back after injury. First of all, I’d like to thank our medical staff – doctors, massage therapists, everyone who worked with me. I’m very grateful. I also want to thank my teammates as over the last month they didn’t play rough against me as we practiced.
- You’ve scored a spectacular one. How was that?
- Brazhko found me with a great pass. I had to score and I did. This goal is the merit of Brazhko.
- Kabayev did a good job while you were away. Have you discussed your competition already?
- Sure, every team has competition. Thus we help each other grow. But it’s also good to have friendly relationship beside the competition. We have a great atmosphere and great team. Head coach decides who’s going to play. That’s natural in football. One should always be positive.
- When will you be able to play in the starting lineup?
- It’s hard to say. I think I’m ready, but one shouldn’t be emotional about that kind of stuff. Coaches know better. One shouldn’t play for 90 minutes after six-month break. I want to, but it’s up to the coach.
