Both of them were very important and let our team finish the football year as leaders in all competitions.
Due to victory against Steaua in Bucharest Kyivans won the Europa League group and success in the match against FC Metalurh Donetsk preserved leadership in the UPL for Serhiy Rebrov’s men with FC Shakhtar Donetsk lacking five points behind them.
That’s why the title of the best player in December isn’t less important and deserved than in previous months. So, three laureates according to fans’ polling on Dynamo official Vkontakte page are:
3rd place. Olexandr SHOVKOVSKYI (925 votes)
Dynamo skipper sets up new records in number of appearances for our club, besides he keeps one clean sheet after another. Shovkovskyi didn’t concede a single goal in December and saved the team several times, especially in Bucharest.
2nd place. Jeremain LENS (1,409 votes)
Dutch player didn’t settle down this month. As Dynamo faced Metalurh Lens assisted Mbokani, who opened the score and thus made things easier for Kyivans. In Bucharest Jeremain scored in a stoppage time. He eluded goalkeeper and hit the open goal from distance. That was the White-Blues last goal of the year 2014.

Dynamo vice-captain becomes the best player of the month for the fourth time this season.
In the match against Metalurh Yarmolenko scored a fabulous goal. He eluded several defenders, goalkeeper and hit the target.
In Bucharest Andriy netted the decider in one-on-one situation. In a stoppage time he assisted Lens, who made the score 2:0.
