Midfielder of FC Dynamo Kyiv Bohdan Redushko shared his emotions with Football Hub after the victory over Polissya Zhytomyr (2:1) in the Ukrainian Premier League.
- Today you had quite a few shots on goal - at least three during the match. Was there a specific instruction from the coach to be more decisive in such moments? Previously you often shifted, dribbled past opponents, crossed the ball but today you also took more shots.
- That instruction has always been there but in some games maybe I lacked a bit of confidence. Today I joined the attack more - I shot and delivered crosses. With every game you gain experience and confidence grows.
- You also had to work a lot defensively today because in the first half Polissya put pressure on you, using flanks very well in their positional play. We could hear the coach giving many instructions, especially directed toward your side. Was that mainly about defensive work in the first half?
- In every match the instruction is that wide midfielders must work both in attack and in defense. In this game I helped Karavaiev at first and then Tymchyk so that’s a must. There were also many instructions from Karavaiev on the pitch which made things a bit easier.
- You played in the youth team together with Ponomarenko. If he had to get a nickname would “Tank” suit him? He pushes through defenders and already has seven goals - incredible statistics for a young striker. How do you discuss this in the team? Do you joke about it or support him? Were you personally surprised by his scoring form?
- I’m definitely not surprised because I know he can score and score a lot. That’s his job. He’s doing it very well and his goals bring us results. So he’s doing great but there’s no need to praise him too much - so that he keeps going and continues bringing us goals.
