The winger of Dynamo Kyiv Bohdan Redushko shared his impressions after the 3:0 Ukrainian Cup semi-final victory over Bukovyna Chernivtsi and spoke about emotions of reaching the final.
— You secured a comfortable and confident win and reached the Ukrainian Cup final. What are your thoughts and impressions?
— It’s nice to win, especially in such an incredible atmosphere. Personally it was my first time playing with that level of support so I really enjoyed it.
— Did you mentally prepare for such a large crowd at the match?
— Yes and no. I didn’t think too much about it — I focused more on my own performance and the team’s play.
— Bukovyna hadn’t lost all season before this match. Did you expect a tough game against a strong opponent?
— We prepared as for any opponent, analyzed Bukovyna’s play and knew about their long unbeaten run. But as you can see we managed to end it and move forward.
— Today you often succeeded in attacking quickly down the flanks. Was that part of your game plan for this opponent?
— Partly, yes. The coaching staff gives us instructions to actively use flanks. It paid off: we made several quick counterattacks and the score ended 3:0.
— All three goals looked quite similar. Were these combinations practiced in training?
— Yes, of course. We work on different attacking patterns in training and today a few of them worked.
— Will you watch the other semi-final between Metalist 1925 and FC Chernihiv to find out your opponent?
— Of course. We’ll watch and see who we’ll face in the final.
— Next is a difficult away trip to Kryvyi Rih to face Kryvbas. Are you already switching your focus to that match?
— Tonight on the train we’ll still analyze this game and from the next day we’ll try to forget about it and start preparing for the league match.
