Bohdan Redushko scored for Ukraine U19 against Montenegro

On Saturday, 15 November, Ukraine’s U19 national team (players born in 2007 and younger) played their second match in the Euro 2026 qualifying round which will take place next spring in Wales.

Ukraine are competing in Group 5 in the first round of Euro 2026 (U19) qualification with Albania hosting the mini-tournament. In their opening match Dmytro Mykhaylenko’s team faced the hosts – Albania U19 – and confidently won 3:0.

In their second match, held in the city of Rrogozhine, the “Blue and Yellows” played Montenegro. This game also ended with a Ukrainian victory – 3:0. Interestingly, the goals were scored by the same players and in the same order as in the previous match. Ukraine started actively and opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Bohdan Redushko brilliantly converted a free kick – the ball flew past the wall, bounced off the pitch and went into the near corner – 1:0. Two minutes later Redushko hit the post.

Ukraine doubled their lead through Bohdan Popov who received a pass and finished first-time from about 15 meters leaving the goalkeeper no chance – 2:0. Oleksandr Kamenskyi made it 3:0 finishing a great solo run with a precise shot from the center of the penalty area.

After the break Ukraine slowed the tempo and eased the pressure on Montenegro’s goal with no further goals scored.

Both Dynamo Kyiv players called up for this camp took part in the match. Midfielder Bohdan Redushko started and was substituted in the 62nd minute while defender Kostiantyn Hubenko came on as a substitute in the second half also entering the match in the 62nd minute.

Ukraine U19 will play their final match of the first qualifying round on Tuesday, 18 November, against Slovakia U19.

Two best teams from each group, as well as the best third-placed team across all groups, will advance to the elite round of qualification. They will join Spain who enter the competition at this stage. The elite-round matches will be played in spring 2026: seven group winners will qualify for the final tournament in Wales joining the host nation.

Currently Ukraine U19 have 6 points and top Group 5. Slovakia have four points, Albania one and Montenegro sit last with zero.
