Four Dynamo players called up to Ukraine U17 national team for Euro 2026 qualifiers

In early October Ukraine’s U17 national team (players born in 2009) will take part in the first qualifying round of the 2026 European Championship (U17).

Head coach Oleksandr Sytnyk has announced the squad for this stage which includes four Dynamo Kyiv players: goalkeeper Dmytro Pozhar, midfielders Danylo Dyachok and Yaroslav Buravtsov and forward Volodymyr Kvikvinia.

Ukraine will compete in Group 1 with Estonia hosting the mini-tournament. The team will play three matches - against Montenegro (October 1), Estonia (October 4) and Italy (October 7).

At the end of the first round the 14 group winners and 14 runners-up will advance to the second round in League A. The remaining 26 teams will play in League B. In spring 2026 League A teams will compete for seven spots at Euro 2026 (U17). This qualifying stage also serves as part of the qualification pathway for the 2026 U17 World Cup in Qatar.
