Four Dynamo players featured for Ukraine U21 in 3:3 draw against Hungary

On October 10 Ukraine’s U21 national team played match against Hungary in the Euro 2027 qualifying round. The game, held at the Fazanerija Stadium in Murska Sobota, ended in a thrilling 3:3 draw.

Ukraine opened the scoring early when Stepanov latched onto a superb long pass from Losenko and lifted the ball over the Hungarian goalkeeper in the 8th minute. Hungary equalized before halftime through Tubola who converted a penalty after Domchak committed a foul inside the box.

In the second half Molnar put Hungary ahead but Matkevych – who came on as a substitute – levelled the score in the 75th minute. Visitors regained the lead five minutes from time thanks to Fenyo yet Krupskyi’s stunning strike into the top corner shortly after secured a draw for Ukraine.

All four Dynamo players called up for this match saw playing time. Vladyslav Zakharchenko and Taras Mykhavko both started in defense and played the full 90 minutes. Roman Salenko, currently on loan at Zorya Luhansk, also started and completed the match in midfield. Andrii Matkevych, another Dynamo player on loan at Zorya, came on early in the second half and scored Ukraine’s second goal.

Ukraine will play their next Euro 2027 U21 qualifier on Tuesday, 14 October, away against Croatia in Velika Gorica.
