Four FC Dynamo Kyiv performers were in the Yellow-Blues starting lineup: centre back Yevhen Khacheridi, supporting midfielder Serhiy Rybalka, winger Andriy Yarmolenko and striker Artem Kravets.
Victory was vital for Ukraine, but Slovakia weren’t going to give up.
Home side applied pressure, but our defenders, including Yevhen Khacheridi, coped with that confidently.
Early in the game Andriy Yarmolenko was in the sidelines, but still he had a chance. Kyivan moved to the center from the flank, and unleashed a shot, but the ball went over the bar.
Serhiy Rybalka opposed Slovaks in the midfield successfully.
The only opportunity visitors had after the break was solo effort of Artem Kravets that finished with shot wide.
After this draw Mykhailo Fomenko’s men have minimal chances to avoid play-offs.
