Taras Mykhavko's debut call-up to the national team

Dynamo defender Taras Mykhavko has been included in the list of players who will prepare for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualification matches against France and Azerbaijan in early September.

This is Taras’s first-ever call-up to the national team, marking his official debut.

Mykhavko became a regular first-team player for Dynamo in the second half of the 2023/24 season, making his debut in the 18th round of the UPL against Metalist 1925 from Kharkiv. In his second season at Dynamo he became one of the team’s leaders in terms of matches played and minutes on the pitch. At just 19 years old he helped Dynamo Kyiv win the Ukrainian Premier League title, contributing significantly to the team’s success.

After the 2024/25 season Mykhavko was named the Best Young Player of the UPL based on a poll of Ukrainian Premier League clubs. This summer he represented Ukraine in the U21 national team at the European U21 Championship in Slovakia.

Given his consistent progress, Mykhavko’s call-up to the senior national team is a logical and well-deserved step. We congratulate Taras on his debut call-up to the Ukraine national team and wish him success at the international level!
