Central defender Denys Popov has extended his contract with Dynamo for five years.
Denys is a graduate of the Dynamo Youth Football School named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi. After progressing through the club’s youth and reserve teams the promising centre-back joined the first team, making his debut for the White-Blues in April 2019.
Just a month later Popov and his teammates from the Ukraine youth national team achieved a remarkable feat by becoming FIFA U-20 World Cup champions.
Following that success Denys established himself as a regular first-team player for Dynamo. To date he has made more than 150 appearances for the White-Blues in all competitions and score 12 goals.
