On Saturday, April 13, FC Dynamo Kyiv will face FC Oleksandria away in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 24 game.
After the match against LNZ, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi’s men got a day off. Since Wednesday they’ve we been having one session a day at their training ground in Vita-Lytovska.
On Wednesday, the initial 20 minutes of the session were open for journalists, who could follow the White-Blues training process. The session was mostly about game exercises and began with warm-up and stretching at the fitness center.
Under the guidance of physical trainers Oleksandr Vasyliev and Vitalii Kulyba, players performed joint mobility exercises, and then – exercises with rubber bands, weights, dumbbells and other loads and fitness equipment. Particular attention was paid to work with one’s own weight, exercises for the back surface of the thighs, adductor muscles, etc. All this is necessary to activate the muscles before the major work on the field.
The session continued outside, traditionally with a short scamper and warm-up with the ball. Having been divided into several groups, played worked in squares with different tasks. The main part of the session was dedicated to game exercises. In order to improve the emotional state and raise the mood of the team after the draw against LNZ, the coaching staff offered players to a mini-tournament. Three teams played on a half of the field. A number of times the goals were accompanied by very emotional shouts and approving applause, which added a special atmosphere, excitement and positive mood to the training.
The session ended in the traditional way – with work on tactical schemes, combinations and actions in the final stage of attacks, in particular passes to the wings, subsequent crosses to the penalty area and shots on goal.
It should be noted that Vitalii Buialskyi, Anton Tsarenko and Volodymyr Shepelev practiced with the team without any restrictions. Navin Malysh continues to work according to an individual program, since his recovery after the surgery is still ongoing. As for Andrii Yarmolenko, he focused on individual planned recovery.
On Thursday morning, players will have a morning session. On Friday – theory class, session, lunch, after which the team will go to Oleksandria by bus. Upon arriving at the hotel, Kyivans will have dinner and rest.
On the match day, after breakfast, football players will gather for a pre-match briefing and go to the Nika Stadium, where the game will take place. Kick-off – 15:30. The team is scheduled to leave for Kyiv after the game.
