Serhiy Miakushko has become the “main squad” player, while four other Kyivans have stayed “on the bench”.
Centre backs
3. Vitaliys Yahodynskis
Latvian defender was making headway and eventually got captain’s armband. He also helped attacking players and even scored against FC Poltava.
Midfielders
3. Olexiy Savchenko
Dynamo-2 versatile halfback played really well as supporting midfielder in spring. He started a lot of Dynamo attacks and took set pieces rather effectively.
Right wingers
2. Vitaliy Hemeha
Hemeha was recovering from injury in the first part of the season, but after the winter break he worked with renewed vigour. Hemeha scored the decider against FC Olimpik Donetsk and played effectively in general.
Left wingers
1. Serhiy Miakushko
In spring: 10 appearances, 6 goals, 4 “call-ups” to matchay all-star teams.
Miakushko demonstrated good play in the first half of the season too, but in spring his dribbling and shot were really impressive.
Forwards
3. Oleh Maik
There’s something about this striker, which lets him to compete against more gifted strikers successfully. Maik is very uncompromising. Though he doesn’t score a lot his straight passes help the team to create attacks.
