Press conference of FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu after the win against FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih (3:1) is for your attention.
- Mister, you used to say the newcomers aren’t ready to play yet. Now Lonwijk and Parris get some game practice. What can you tell about their adaptation?
- Of course they still need time. We have a lot of matches and practically no training process, so it was hard to estimate them. To play in the starting lineup they must do better than those who feature in their positions.
When I feel they’re ready to benefit the team, I’ll give them a chance. The same can be said about Samba Diallo.
- What’s the phenomenon of Buialskyi, who demonstrates great football, but doesn’t get call-ups to the national team?
- Every coaches invites players to the national team according to his philosophy and vision. I don’t think Petrakov wants to harm himself. Vitaliy is a great player with football intelligence and significant experience. This game has proved how important it is to have him on the field.
- Dynamo played their best game of the season today. What prevented you from demonstrating such football before?
- I asked players to start with a clean slate. We have a tough group in the Europa League, but we’re professionals. We must get back to football we demonstrated before.
I hope we’ll leave our problems behind. We looked pretty well in every game, maintained possession, but made a lot of “presents” for our opponents. That harmed the team mentally and resulted in lack of focus. It’s hard to deal with things when you receive only criticism. I asked players to listen to me, not to journalists.
