Dynamo – Livyi Bereh – 2:0: press conference of Oleksandr Shovkovskyi

FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi answered media questions after the win against FC Livyi Bereh (2:0).

- Everyone heard you shouting to Mykhavko to buy glasses. Does he have eyesight issues?

- He lacks vision sometimes. Of course that was a joke, but today Taras and some other players were making incorrect decisions. But that was just sarcasm.

- Are you satisfied with the implementation of the game plan today?

- Firstly, I want to say that Livyi Bereh have won four games and lost twice in the last six matches. They demonstrated very disciplined and organized football. We understood perfectly well that this is exactly the kind of game that would be in our match. We told players that the game wouldn’t be easy, and that they would have to make efforts, position themselves correctly on the field in order to find opportunities to shake the opponent and do everything possible so that they would make mistakes. There were many technical errors in decision-making, which added to our nervousness, and the opponent, on the contrary, gained additional confidence.

We knew we would have opportunities, and we did, we just needed to manage the ball more effectively. In general, I can say that matches in the final stretch are always very difficult. And I made a remark about the fact that now we are entering a storm and we understand that it will be a difficult period. Every game is like a final for us.
