On Saturday, April 27, FC Dynamo Kyiv will play the UPL matchday 26 game. Our team will face SC Dnipro-1 away.
After the match against FC Polissia Zhytomyr on Sunday, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi’s men got a day off. On Tuesday they gathered at their training ground to start preparations of the upcoming game. The White-Blues are having one session a week which usually starts with the gym.
Tuesday session was no exception in this regard. Kyivans did a number of exercises aimed at flexibility, mobility etc. under the charge of physical trainers Oleksandr Vasyliev and Vitalii Kulyba. Then they split into groups and did exercises at one of eight stations using different equipment: rubber bands, weights, dumbbells, bars etc. Thus players warmed up properly.
Before the outside session everyone congratulated recent birthday boys – administrator of the team Dmytro Snitkin and massage therapist Andrii Sobchenko. Then Oleksandr Shovkovskyi addressed to the team and explained the session plan.
The session itself was a bit lighter than usually and lasted about two hours. All players participated as fortunately no one’s currently injured. Volodymyr Brazhko worked with some restrictions, but he’s getting ready for the game against Dnipro-1.
At first players continued the warm-up on the field by doing some stretching. Then they did some interesting uncommon exercises aimed at the reaction speed.
Afterwards there were game exercises. To boost the spirits coach suggested having a small tournament. The White-Blues were divided into four groups and played using four smaller goals at a time. Herewith they got different assignments from coaches regarding allowed number of touches etc.
Meanwhile goalkeepers worked separately with Mykhailo Mykhailov. They joined the team during the following exercise as four bigger goals were used.
Then the team practiced attacks finishing and shots on target.
In the upcoming days Kyivans will have similar schedule. On Friday morning they’ll have a theory class. Dynamo will face Dnipro-1 away on April 27. Kick-off – 13:00.
