In this game Olexandr Khatskevych couldn’t count on injured Viktor Tsyhankov and Fran Sol. On the other hand, Olexandr Karavayev and Mohammed Kadiri made their official debut for our team.
Still the name of Viktor Tsyhankov was announced at the stadium before the match. He was awarded as the best UPL player of the previous season. Another Kyivan Vitaliy Mykolenko became the best young performer.
The start of the game was quite active. Six minutes into the first half Denys Boiko saved the team after shot by Marlos from outside the box.
Shakhtar mostly attempted from distance while the White-Blues tried to use wing attacks. After one of them Bolbat stopped Verbic with his hands, but referee didn’t award penalty.
In another episode Verbic tried to finish after low cross from Karavayev, but defender blocked his shot. Then Boiko didn’t let Ismaily open the score.
Still Shakhtar succeeded in a stoppage time. Alan Patrick obtained the ball after set piece and hit the bottom corner.
After the break both sides kept demonstrating quite open football. Dynamo could claim upon penalty again, but referee ignored the foul against Harmash inside the box.
The final 15 minutes turned out to be decisive. Dynamo kept pushing and reached their goal. Tsytaishvili took a corner and Burda headed the ball in!
And in a couple of minutes the White-Blues were in front. De Pena put a cross into the box from the left side, Harmash obtained the ball and hit the far bottom corner!
