1. Rare Dynamo defeat against Zoria
Zoria used to be a simple opponent for Dynamo. The White-Blues were winning one game after another and didn’t experience any difficulties.
Still over the last years Zoria improved their level rapidly. Now they cause leaders of Ukrainian football real problems.
Before this match the balance of Dynamo and Zoria games starting with the first match in Ukrainian league was 28 Dynamo wins, 11 draws and 4 Zoria wins. Now Zoria have 5 victories against Dynamo which makes 11,3% of all face-to-face duels.
Dynamo have won 63,6% of matches.
2. Second red card for Kadar and Dynamo
Before this match only one Dynamo player was sent off in 43 games against Zoria. Another one was sent off this time.
Tamas Kadar got two bookings from Anatoliy Abdula and left the field early in the second half.
It’s interesting that the player, who was sent off the previous time, is also Tamas Kadar (last season).
3. Favourite team of Benjamin Verbic
Dynamo Slovenian winger scored the only home side goal in this game and thus set club record in the UPL.
This is the 6th goal against Zoria for Verbic which makes him Dynamo best striker in games against Luhansk side.
4. Sad milestone for Tomasz Kedziora
This was the 100th game for Dynamo for Polish right back of our team Tomasz Kedziora.
He got an assist to his name in this match, but Dynamo defense, including Tomasz, didn’t look solid enough.
By the way, it was the 10th assist for Dynamo for Kedziora.
5. Dynamo successful streak is over
There was an interesting statistical peculiarity before the game:
- Dynamo didn’t concede more than 1 goal starting with September 15, when they lost against FC Desna Chernihiv 1:2.
- Zoria played 11 UPL games starting with September 1 and if they scored, that was two or more goals per game.
Unfortunately Zoria scoring streak is on.
