FC Dynamo Kyiv defender Domagoj Vida will celebrate winter holidays in Croatia. He’s going to take part in traditional fundraising tournament. He has told Croatian media what the outgoing year was like for him.
- It’s great to be home and meet old friends. Participating in this competition we help children. That gladdens me.
The outgoing year was a success for me. I had game practice in FC Dynamo Kyiv and scored several important goals. I was also called up to Croatia national team, so I’m happy. Still I won’t rest on my laurels. One should always try to make a step forward.
I feel comfortable in Kyiv. The city is great and situation in the major part of Ukraine is normal. I hope everything will be fine in Donetsk soon. As for me, I’m really glad that I feature for such club as Dynamo. In recent months coach used me as left back. It’s good that I can help the team.
I hope we’ll win the domestic league. FC Shakhtar Donetsk are lacking five points behind us, but we mustn’t relax. In the Europa League we’ll face EA Guingamp. Out task in this tournament is to go as far as possible, but out main aim is to win the Ukrainian Premier League as supporters hope we’ll perform in the Champions League next season.
