Two FC Dynamo Kyiv performers were in the Yellow-Blues starting lineup – defender Vitaliy Mykolenko (4th cap) and winger Viktor Tsyhankov (14th). Viktor was the hero of the first half as he scored twice within two minutes. At first he hit the bottom corner after low cross from Karavayev from the right side and then netted the ball from distance.
After the break Ukraine scored three more. Dynamo trainee Yaremchuk got the first goal for the national team to his name. Konoplyanka scored twice. 72 minutes into the game another Kyivan took the field – Volodymyr Shepelev (3rd cap).
So, Andriy Shevchenko’s men are leaders of their group after three games. They have seven points. On June 10 they’ll host Luxembourg in Lviv.
