Ognjen Vukojević scored the only goal of a tight Matchday 19 game with FC Metalurh Donetsk on Monday evening to help Dynamo Kyiv remain top of the Ukrainian Premier League table.
Dynamo coach Yuriy Semin had to make do without the services of several key players: forward Andriy Shevchenko and goalkeeper Oleksandr Shovkovskyy both suffered injuries during Sunday’s training session, while forward Artem Milevskyy and half-back Oleksandr Aliyev were serving a suspension.
The visitors, who forced Yuriy Semin's men to settle for a goalless draw on Matchday 4, once again proved a tough nut to crack as they made Dynamo wait until the 89th minute to grab the winner. After a series of deflections, the ball fell perfectly for Vukojević, who, without hesitation, sent it into the net.
