Arsenal FC and Fenerbahce both contested city derbies at the weekend and managed to gain important victories.
Fenerbahçe 2 - 1 Besiktas

The hosts gained a psychologically important 2-1 victory against principal rivals Besiktas on Saturday at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
Fenerbahçe midfielder Selçuk Şahin gave his side the lead in the 11th minute by placing the ball into the net, following an Alex’s corner. The visiting team pressed hard and managed to fight back ten minutes later through Nobre’s volley. However, Spanish star Daniel Güiza soon regained Fenerbahçe’s one-goal advantage, lobbing the ball over Besiktas goalkeeper. The visitors were reduced to ten men when Besiktas player Cisse received a second booking just before the break.
Chelsea 1 - 2 Arsenal
Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Gallas, Djourou, Clichy, Denilson, Fabregas, Song, Nasri, Adebayor (Bendtner, 83), Van Persie.
Goals: Djourou (31, og) – Van Persie (59, 62).
Arsène Wenger’s side celebrated a derby victory against city rivals FC Chelsea on Sunday. The first Arsenal goal came on 59 minutes with the winner on 62, both scored by Van Persie, as Felipe Scolari's side slipped to a second home league defeat of the season. The gunners had two players returning from injury, Sagna and Adebayor in at right back and centre-forward respectively, while William Gallas was selected to play in central defence.
FC Porto will play their domestic league match against FC Académica on December 1st.
