A 22nd-minute penalty from captain Artem Milevskyy and a fantastic scissors-kick from Tiberiu Ghioane in the second-half gave Dynamo their fifth consecutive win in the Ukrainian Championship as they defeated FC Zorya Luhansk 2-0 in Kyiv.
In their last match before the Champions League Group stage fixture against reigning European champions FC Barcelona the White-Blues produced a dominant display, while the opponents provided no real attacking threat for much of the match. Former Dynamo player Vadym Milko, who now plays for FC Zorya, could have scored a consolation goal before the final whistle as the referee awarded the visitors a penalty but his shot was parried by Dynamo keeper Stanislav Bogush.
Dynamo stay top of the table with twenty-two points from eight matches. Now all players' thoughts are focused on the forthcoming Champions League match against Group F opponent FC Barcelona. Let's wish our team good luck!
