Dynamo midfielder Justin Lonwijk shared his thoughts on the match of the 5th round of the Ukrainian Premier League against LNZ (0:0).
– The team tried hard and showed fighting spirit. We had to score a goal, but the ball would not go into the net, and our goal was also disallowed for offside.
– How did the team recover from the defeat in the previous match?
– We had an open conversation after that game. We understood that we had to change something.
– Dynamo had the initiative on the pitch. Did you expect LNZ to give up possession?
– Most opponents play against us this way, so we were ready for it. We had a good plan for the game. Unfortunately, we were not able to take advantage of it.
– The team had many good chances to take the lead, and there was even a disallowed goal. What was missing to finally score and win?
– I think we need to create chances more actively. Also, luck was not on our side today.
– Several players joined Dynamo this week. How are they going through the adaptation process in the team?
– We welcomed the new players. We encouraged them to show their best game and said that we were ready to support them.
– Next, Dynamo will face Nyva Vinnytsya in the Round of 32 of the Ukrainian Cup. Have you already started preparing for this game?
– We were focused on the match against LNZ but from tomorrow we will focus on the cup clash.
