FC Dynamo Kyiv assistant coach Emil Caras has commented upon the home win against FC Mynai (2:0).
- What matters is that we’ve won. We could do it by bigger margin, but had troubles using our chances. It’s just the start of the season and we haven’t totally got into the game rhythm. We create opportunities, but don’t score a lot. Thus opponents feel they can succeed.
We didn’t stop a couple of counterattacks. That shouldn’t happen. We must stay focused throughout the game. And of course we want to score more. Anyway, we’ve won deservedly.
- Did Dynamo use mistakes of the young team in the first half?
- We liked Mynai. They did a good job against FC Oleksandria. Today they looked decently too. It wasn’t easy to defeat them.
- What do you think of key episodes of the first half?
- As for the first goal, it was a good combination. Unfortunately Eric didn’t use his previous opportunity. He needs time to get accustomed to the league and new teammates. It’s not that simple. Anyway, Buialskyi finds common ground with new players quickly. It’s comfortable to play with him.
- What did the team lack to score the third goal?
- We were close to the third goal, but each time lacked something. Sometimes, when you use your weak foot, you should lay emphasis on accuracy, not on power. Guys really wanted to score. I hope they’ll do it in following games.
- Were your substitutions planned?
- They can’t be called planned as you never know what happens on the field. It’s all up to Mister. He was telling what to do. But generally we knew whom we would substitute.
