He appeared at the arrival terminal walking on crutches, but in a good mood.
- It’s a pity that I picked up this injury at the midst of the season. The team has very tight schedule, so I’ll miss a lot. This is what football life is like. Every player must go through this.
- How was the surgery? How do you feel?
- I’m fine. Dynamo doctor Andriy Shmorhun, who was present at the surgery, said it was effective.
- How long will you have to walk on crutches?
- Six weeks. After that I’ll start the rehabilitation.
- Is it difficult to get used to crutches? Do you feel uncomfortable?
- I really do. It’s annoying that I depend on other people. I’ll try to step back into ranks as soon as possible.
- Family and friends support you…
- Yes, teammates support me and I’m thankful for that. Still when I look at them I want to play.
- Did you watch Dynamo match against Steaua?
- I watched it in my ward on laptop. Fortunately there was Wi-Fi. As for the match against Shakhtar, I watched it at the stadium.
- Did you expect to see Mykyta Burda playing as left back?
- Why not? Mykyta works well at training sessions. This position is a bit unusual for him, but I think he coped with his duties. So did other players. I congratulate them on victory.
- Still Dynamo players thought that Husiev or Danilo Silva would play as left back…
- Frankly speaking I though coaching staff would choose Yevhen Selin or Andriy Tsurikov. They are both left-footed and often play as left backs at training sessions and in friendlies.
- This is your first serious injury. It must be difficult from psychological point of view…
- It’s unbelievable how everything can change in a moment. You live in ordinary rhythm, play, communicate with teammates… And then you walk on crutches, have medical examinations and spend a lot of time just waiting. Still I must accept this, be a man and cope with difficulties. I want to recondition as soon as possible and become even better. I’ll do my best for that.
